Transzakciókat, often translated as transactions, refers to a sequence of operations performed as a single unit of work. In computing, a transaction typically ensures that a set of data modifications is either entirely completed or entirely undone. This concept is fundamental to database management and is often described by the ACID properties: Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, and Durability.

Atomicity means that all operations within a transaction are treated as a single, indivisible unit. If any part of the transaction fails, the entire transaction is rolled back, leaving the system in its original state. Consistency ensures that a transaction brings the database from one valid state to another, maintaining all predefined rules and constraints.

Isolation guarantees that concurrent transactions do not interfere with each other. Each transaction appears to execute as if it were the only transaction running. Durability ensures that once a transaction has been successfully committed, its changes are permanent and will survive system failures, such as power outages or crashes.

The concept of transactions is crucial for maintaining data integrity, especially in systems that handle financial dealings, inventory management, or any application where data accuracy is paramount. They provide a reliable mechanism for managing changes to shared data resources.
