Transkripních

Transkripních is a Czech adjective form meaning related to transcription, often appearing in phrases that describe rules, systems, or methods for representing information with written symbols. It is used in a variety of fields, most commonly in linguistics and molecular biology, but also in music and documentation.

In linguistics, transkripční refers to the process and notation of converting spoken language into a symbolic form, typically using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). Transcription can be broad or narrow: broad transcription captures only the essential phonemic contrasts, while narrow transcription provides a more detailed account of actual pronunciation, including allophones and diacritics. Transkripční zápisy are therefore representations that may differ from orthographic spelling, which records conventional writing rather than precise pronunciation.
