Tosylhydrazone

Tosylhydrazone is an organic compound derived from the reaction of hydrazine derivatives with aldehydes or ketones in the presence of p-toluenesulfonyl chloride (tosyl chloride). Structurally, it consists of a hydrazone functional group (-C=N-NH-Ts), where the Tosyl (Ts) group is a p-toluenesulfonyl moiety attached to the nitrogen atom.
