Torkaman
Torkaman refers to a Turkic ethnic group primarily residing in Iran, with smaller communities in neighboring countries. They are most notably found in the Golestan province of northern Iran, concentrated around the cities of Gorgan and Gonbad-e Kavus. The Torkaman people speak the Turkmen language, a member of the Oghuz branch of the Turkic language family. Historically, the Torkaman were nomadic pastoralists, renowned for their exceptional horse breeding skills and their distinctive carpets and textiles.
