Tokowych

Tokowych is a form in Polish grammar, specifically the genitive plural of the adjective tokowy. It does not denote a standalone concept, but serves to modify a noun in phrases where the attribute described by tokowy applies to multiple items.

The adjective tokowy is derived from the noun tok, meaning flow or current, with the suffix -owy that forms adjectives indicating relation or belonging. From this, tokowy means related to a current or flow, and tokowych is the inflected genitive plural form used with nouns in that case.

Use in language: Tokowych appears primarily in written Polish, especially in linguistic works, dictionaries, and some technical texts dealing with topics such as current or flow. It is relatively uncommon in ordinary speech.

Ambiguity and interpretation: Because tokowych is an inflected form, it may be mistaken for a proper noun or surname if taken out of context. The grammatical role is determined by its position and the case of the noun it accompanies.
