Timanttipitoiset

Timanttipitoiset are a family of birds of the avian order Passeriformes. The family name is derived from the gemstone diamond and the Finnish word "pitoiset", meaning " fern-brown". They are characterized by their distinctive brown or grey plumage with intricate patterns of lighter or darker colours.

There are several species within the family Timanttipitoiset. They are primarily found in subtropical and tropical regions, with the highest diversity of species in parts of South America, Southeast Asia, and Queensland in Australia.
