TibetoBurman
TibetoBurman, also written Tibeto-Burman, is a traditional designation used in historical and comparative linguistics for a large portion of the Sino-Tibetan language family. In common classifications, Sino-Tibetan is split into Sinitic (Chinese) and TibetoBurman, with the latter comprising the non-Chinese languages spoken across the Himalayas and surrounding regions, including areas of Tibet, Burma (Myanmar), parts of northern and eastern India, Nepal, Bhutan, and southern China.
