Thr14ään is a contemporary Finnish music collective that emerged in 2017 in the city of Tampere. The name combines the English abbreviation “Thr” for “thrills” with the numeric value 14, a symbolic reference to the 14th letter of the Greek alphabet theta, and the Finnish word “ään,” meaning “voice.” The collective’s mission is to fuse electronic dance music production with traditional Finnish folk instrumentation, creating immersive soundscapes that appeal to both club audiences and cultural enthusiasts.
