Theaterbereich

Theaterbereich is a term used in German-speaking contexts to designate the part of a building, room, or urban plan that is reserved for theater-related activities. In architecture and venue planning, the Theaterbereich encompasses the spaces used for staging performances, including the stage itself (Bühne), backstage areas, technical rooms, seating in the auditorium, and often adjacent foyers and circulation zones integral to the theater experience. It may also refer to the overall functional zone within a multipurpose hall that is configured for theatrical events.

The term is distinct from Bühnenbereich (the stage) and Zuschauerbereich (the audience area) though these elements are part of the Theaterbereich.
