Testsúlya
Testsúlya is the Hungarian term for the weight of the body, understood as the gravitational force acting on the person or animal, and is used in everyday language as well as in medical and nutritional contexts. The word is formed from test- (body) and súly (weight), and the possessive form testsúlya denotes the subject’s body weight, for example az állat testsúlya (the animal’s body weight). In scientific usage, tömeg is often preferred to denote mass, while testsúly is the more common term in routine measurements reported in kilograms.
