Termistärasitusta is a term used in Finnish electrical engineering to describe a specialized temperature‑sensing resistor that combines the properties of a thermistor with a variable resistor configuration. The device is typically constructed from a ceramic or polymer thermistor element whose resistance changes significantly with temperature, joined in series or parallel with a trimmer or potentiometer that allows precise adjustment of the overall resistance. This combination permits the user to set a desired temperature threshold or to implement a linearized temperature readout over a specified range.

In practical applications, termistärasitusta units are employed in thermostatic control circuits, HVAC systems, industrial process monitoring, and some medical instruments where accurate temperature measurement and calibration are critical.
