Temelín
Temelín is a village and municipality in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It is primarily known for housing the Temelín Nuclear Power Station, the largest power plant in the Czech Republic. The power station consists of two VVER-1000 pressurized water reactors, which began commercial operation in 2002 and 2003, respectively. The construction of the plant was a significant undertaking and also a subject of public debate due to its proximity to Austria and environmental concerns.
