The advent of digital technology and powerful computers revolutionized televisual effects. CGI allows for the creation of entirely new environments, characters, and action sequences that would be impossible to film in reality. This includes everything from subtle enhancements like smoothing out wrinkles on an actor to the creation of elaborate special effects for science fiction or fantasy dramas. Digital compositing enables the seamless blending of live-action footage with computer-generated elements.
