Teletyp, often stylized as Teletype, refers to a brand of electromechanical typewriter used for sending and receiving typed messages over a telegraph or telephone line. Developed by the Teletype Corporation, these machines became a ubiquitous communication tool in the mid-20th century for businesses, news agencies, and government organizations.
