Tekstflow is the arrangement and movement of text within a layout, governing how lines wrap, break, and reflow as content is displayed in different media. In traditional typesetting, tekstflow depended on fixed page boundaries and set line lengths. In digital publishing, tekstflow describes how text flows across screens, columns, and pages, adjusting to viewport size, orientation, and user preferences.

Technical aspects include line length, hyphenation, and justification, as well as control of widows and orphans, word breaks, and whitespace. Modern systems use reflowable text, where content can reflow without altering the meaning or structure, and fixed-layout text, where the arrangement remains constant. CSS, e-book formats, and typesetting engines implement tekstflow through rules for line breaking, pagination, and layout constraints.

Applications range from word processors and desktop publishing to e-readers and responsive websites. In web and app design, tekstflow must adapt to different devices, languages, and accessibility needs, including right-to-left scripts and screen magnification. Designers balance readability, legibility, and aesthetic alignment by choosing column widths, margins, and typography settings that influence tekstflow.
