Tarkvaraarendusliidese, or Software Development Kit (SDK), is a collection of software development tools that allows computer programmers to create applications for a specific software package, software framework, hardware platform, operating system, or similar development project. An SDK typically includes a set of compilers, debuggers, and possibly other programs that are used in the process of developing and testing software. It may also include documentation, code samples, and libraries.

The primary purpose of an SDK is to make it easier for developers to build software for a particular platform. By providing pre-built components and tools, SDKs abstract away much of the complexity of low-level programming, allowing developers to focus on the core functionality of their applications. Different platforms and operating systems will have their own distinct SDKs. For instance, developers creating applications for Android devices will use the Android SDK, while those developing for iOS will utilize the iOS SDK.

SDKs can vary greatly in scope and complexity. Some might be relatively simple, offering basic libraries and utilities, while others are comprehensive suites that provide everything needed to build sophisticated applications. The availability and quality of an SDK can significantly influence the ease and speed with which software can be developed for a given platform, as well as the richness and diversity of applications that become available.
