Tarkastusmerkinnät, literally translated as inspection marks, are standardized symbols and notations used primarily in engineering, construction, and safety inspection contexts within Finland and some neighbouring countries. The marks serve as a concise communication tool to indicate compliance status, identification of reference points, and to flag potential hazards or required actions. They are especially common in building plans, civil engineering drawings, and maintenance records for infrastructure such as bridges, roads, and public buildings.
