Tarchia
Tarchia is a genus of nodosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now Mongolia. It is known from a single species, Tarchia gigantea. Tarchia was a large, herbivorous dinosaur, measuring up to 8 meters (26 feet) in length and weighing an estimated 4 tons. It was characterized by its heavily armored body, covered in bony plates called osteoderms, and a long, whip-like tail. The skull of Tarchia was relatively small and triangular, with a beak-like mouth used for stripping vegetation.
Fossils of Tarchia have been found in the Nemegt Formation, a rich fossil site in the Gobi
