Tarchias
Tarchias is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period in what is now Mongolia. The name Tarchias means "having a hook" in Greek, referring to the distinctive hooked claw on the second finger of its hand. The only known species, Tarchias teregrinus, was described by Mongolian paleontologist Rinchen Barsbold in 1977.
