Tappuriräjähdykset, also known as shotgun blasts, refer to a phenomenon observed in certain types of firearms. This occurs when a shotgun barrel is loaded with a projectile designed for a different type of firearm, such as a rifle bullet. When fired, the rifling in the shotgun barrel, which is intended to impart spin to a shotgun shell, interacts unpredictably with the solid projectile. This interaction can cause the projectile to fragment or tumble erratically upon exiting the barrel.
