TamperePori

TamperePori is a term that sometimes appears in informal contexts, often referring to a hypothetical or desired direct transportation link between the Finnish cities of Tampere and Pori. There is no official or established route officially known by this name. The two cities are already connected by existing road and rail infrastructure, with Route 11 and the Tampere–Pori railway line serving as the primary connections. Discussions about improving or speeding up travel between these locations, however, may lead to the coining of such informal terms.

Currently, the most common modes of transport between Tampere and Pori are by car, bus, and train. The journey by road typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Rail services also operate between the two cities, offering an alternative for travelers. While direct high-speed rail or a new dedicated route specifically branded as "TamperePori" does not exist, the existing network facilitates regular travel and freight transport between these significant population centers in Pirkanmaa and Satakunta regions. The term's usage is largely confined to local discussions or conceptual planning regarding regional connectivity.
