Tamattu
Tamattu' (al-tamattuʿ) is one of the three permitted methods for performing the Hajj pilgrimage in Islam. It enables a pilgrim to perform Umrah during the Hajj season and then complete Hajj in the same pilgrimage, with a short interval during which the state of ihram is exited between the two rites. The term comes from Arabic and conveys the idea of enjoying or benefiting from both rites in a single journey.
