She was the leader of the Nightsisters and mother to Maul, whom she sold to Darth Sidious to ensure his survival and training as a Sith apprentice. Talzin possessed formidable abilities, including telekinesis, Force lightning, and the manipulation of life and death. She was a key figure in the Circle of the Force, an ancient organization of Force-sensitive individuals on Dathomir.

During the Clone Wars, Talzin and her Nightsisters became involved in galactic conflicts. They aided the Separatist Alliance, led by General Grievous, in various operations. Talzin's influence extended to controlling the Zardas, a group of warriors who served the Nightsisters. Her deep connection to Dathomir and its mystical energies made her a formidable adversary.

Talzin's ultimate goal was to reclaim her own body and power, which had been fragmented and weakened.
