Talgkjertlene

Talgkjertlene, also known as the sebaceous glands, are small exocrine glands located in the skin of mammals, including humans. They are primarily responsible for secreting sebum, an oily, waxy substance that plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and moisture of the skin and hair.

These glands are typically found connected to hair follicles, although some are located directly on the skin's surface. Each gland consists of a duct that opens into a hair follicle or directly onto the skin, facilitating the release of sebum.
