Takvärmesystem

A takvärmesystem, or roof heating system, is a type of heating system designed to prevent ice dams and keep roof surfaces free of snow and ice. These systems typically consist of electric heating cables or mats installed along the eaves, in gutters, and downspouts of a roof. The primary goal is to melt accumulated snow and ice, allowing water to drain away freely and preventing water damage to the roof, walls, and foundation.

The installation of a takvärmesystem usually involves attaching the heating elements directly to the roof structure or within the gutters. Power is supplied through a standard electrical connection, often controlled by a thermostat or a snow sensor that activates the system only when necessary, thereby saving energy.
