Tacticity refers to the stereochemical arrangement of the repeating units in a polymer chain. It is a critical factor influencing the physical properties of polymers, such as their crystallinity, melting point, and mechanical strength. The tacticity arises from the stereochemistry of the monomer during polymerization.
