TPain

T-Pain is the stage name of Faheem Rasheed Najm, an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. He was born on September 30, 1985, in Tallahassee, Florida. He rose to prominence in the mid-2000s with a distinctive use of Auto-Tune and a blend of hip hop and R&B that helped popularize the effect in mainstream music.

Najm released his debut studio album, Rappa Ternt Sanga, in 2005. It featured the hit single I’m Sprung and introduced his signature auto-tuned vocal style. After gaining attention, he signed with Akon’s Konvict Muzik and launched his own label, Nappy Boy Entertainment. Epiphany, released in 2007, produced the chart-topping single Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’) and established T-Pain as a leading figure in contemporary hip hop and R&B. He followed with Three Ringz and other projects, continuing to release music and collaborate with a wide range of artists.

T-Pain is noted for his influence on the use of Auto-Tune in popular music, shaping the sound of late-2000s hip hop and R&B. Beyond recording, he has pursued production work and various entertainment ventures. His contributions have extended across music, live performance, and media appearances, contributing to his reputation as a versatile artist with a lasting impact on the genre.
