TIAEIAstandardit refers to standards developed by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA). These organizations were prominent in establishing technical standards for the telecommunications and electronics industries in North America. While the EIA merged into the Global Engineering Standards Foundation (GESF) in 2007, and the TIA continues as a leading standards development organization, the term TIAEIAstandardit often collectively refers to the body of work produced by both during their active periods.

These standards cover a vast range of areas critical to modern technology. They include specifications for cabling infrastructure, such as those for structured cabling systems in commercial buildings (e.g., TIA-568 series), which dictate the types of cables, connectors, and their installation methods to ensure reliable data transmission.
