T3i

The Canon EOS Rebel T3i, marketed as the Canon EOS 600D in some regions, is an entry-level digital single-lens reflex camera released by Canon in 2011 as part of the EOS Rebel/EOS Kiss series. It targeted beginner and enthusiast photographers seeking a balance between image quality, manual control, and accessible video features while using interchangeable EF and EF-S lenses.

The T3i uses an 18-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor paired with Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor. It offers an ISO range of 100–6400, expandable to 12800, and a continuous shooting rate of up to about 3.7 frames per second. It features a 9-point autofocus system in optical viewfinder use and a contrast-detect autofocus in Live View. The camera includes a 3-inch vari-angle LCD with about 1,040,000 dots, and integrates guided on-screen help through a Guided UI, along with built-in Creative Filters that can be applied to stills and video.

In video mode, the T3i can record Full HD 1080p at 24 frames per second and 720p at higher frame rates, with additional shooting options such as the Video Snapshot feature and various creative filters. It remains compatible with a broad range of Canon EF and EF-S lenses and includes a standard hot shoe and built-in flash. Storage is handled via SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.

The T3i represents an evolution of Canon’s entry-level lineup, emphasizing ease of use and instructional features for new photographers, while offering solid image quality and basic advanced capabilities for its class. It was later succeeded by newer Rebel models that expanded on its video and still-image features.
