Täppistöötlusmeetodi, also known as the dot voting method, is a consensus-building technique used in decision-making processes, particularly in groups. It was developed by the Finnish sociologist and philosopher Eero Tuomela in the 1970s. The method is designed to help groups reach a consensus by allowing each member to express their preferences for different options.

In a täppistöötlusmeetodi session, each participant is given a set number of dots (or tokens) to distribute among the available options. The number of dots each participant has is typically equal to the number of options, ensuring that every vote counts equally. Participants place their dots on the options they prefer, with more dots indicating a stronger preference.
