Süsteemitestimist is the Estonian term for system testing. It is a phase in software testing where a complete and integrated software system is tested. The purpose of system testing is to evaluate the system's compliance with the specified requirements. It is performed after integration testing and before acceptance testing.

System testing focuses on the behavior of the entire system as a whole, rather than on individual components or integrated parts. This type of testing verifies that all parts of the system work together as expected and that the system meets the functional and non-functional requirements defined by the end-users and stakeholders. It aims to uncover defects that may arise from the interactions between different modules or components of the system.

Key aspects of system testing include verifying functionality, performance, security, usability, and reliability. Tests are typically designed based on the system's requirements specifications and use cases. The environment for system testing should closely resemble the production environment to ensure that the tests are representative of real-world conditions. Defects found during system testing are reported and then fixed by the development team, followed by retesting to confirm the fixes. Successful system testing is crucial for ensuring that the software is ready for the next stage, which is usually user acceptance testing.
