Söderåsen

Söderåsen is a region in Skåne County, southern Sweden, notable for its long ridge and the protected landscapes that surround it. The area includes Söderåsen National Park, which protects a central portion of the ridge and its dramatic ravines. The best known feature is the Skäralid gorge, where streams have carved deep, forested valley walls, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding hills.

The landscape is dominated by tall deciduous forests, with beech and oak as characteristic trees, complemented by birch and alder in damper sites.
