Sója

Sõja is a term associated with Estonian language use. In Estonian, sõda is the noun for war, and sõja is its genitive form used in phrases such as sõja ajal (during the war) and sõja vastu (against the war). The word thus commonly appears in historical and legal contexts where possession, duration, or relation to war is indicated.

War is an organized armed conflict between political communities, most often states or large groups, though civil wars and insurgencies are common as well. It includes various forms of fighting, from conventional battles to guerrilla warfare and, in modern times, cyber operations and economic pressure. Causes are multifaceted, including territorial disputes, resource competition, ideological conflict, and failures of diplomacy or alliance commitments.
