Säkerhetssamhället refers to a societal development where security concerns increasingly shape public policy, individual behavior, and the organization of society. This concept, often translated as the "security society" or "securitization society," describes a situation where security issues, such as terrorism, crime, natural disasters, or economic instability, become central to political discourse and decision-making.
