Protection devices such as circuit breakers and fuses are integrated throughout the network to detect and isolate faults, preventing widespread outages and ensuring safety. The design and operation of these networks are crucial for reliable power supply and are subject to strict regulations. Modern distribution networks are increasingly incorporating smart grid technologies to improve efficiency, monitor performance, and integrate renewable energy sources.
