Szívüzemeltet

Szívüzemeltet is a Hungarian term that translates to "heart operation" or "cardiac surgery." It refers to any surgical procedure performed on the heart. These operations are typically carried out to treat a wide range of heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart valve defects, congenital heart defects, and heart failure.

The most common type of szívüzemeltet is coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), often called bypass surgery. This procedure aims to restore blood flow to the heart muscle by creating new pathways for blood to travel around blocked or narrowed coronary arteries. Another frequent procedure involves the repair or replacement of damaged heart valves. Heart valves ensure that blood flows in the correct direction through the heart, and when they malfunction, surgery may be necessary to restore proper function.

Congenital heart defects, which are structural problems present at birth, are also often addressed with szívüzemeltet. These surgeries can be complex and may involve repairing holes in the heart or correcting abnormalities in the heart's chambers and major blood vessels. In cases of severe heart failure, a heart transplant might be considered, which is a highly specialized form of szívüzemeltet.

Szívüzemeltet requires a highly skilled surgical team, including cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and perfusionists who operate the heart-lung machine. Recovery times vary depending on the type and complexity of the surgery, as well as the patient's overall health. Post-operative care often involves a period in the intensive care unit followed by gradual rehabilitation.
