Svartalfheimr, also known as Nidavellir or Svartalfaheim, is a realm from Norse mythology associated with the dwarves, known as svartálfar or dark elves. It is one of the Nine Worlds interconnected by Yggdrasil, the cosmic tree. Unlike the luminous Asgard or Midgard (Earth), Svartalfheimr is characterized as a subterranean or hidden domain, rich in underground cities, mines, and workshops.

In mythological sources, Svartalfheimr is depicted as a land of craftsmanship and metallurgy, where dwarves possess unparalleled skill in forging weapons, armor, and magical artifacts.
