Survetööriistu, commonly translated as pressure tools or pressure instruments, refers to a range of devices designed to measure, control, or generate pressure. These tools are fundamental in various industrial, scientific, and everyday applications.

In terms of measurement, pressure gauges are perhaps the most ubiquitous examples. These instruments indicate the pressure of a fluid, whether liquid or gas, within a system. They can range from simple mechanical Bourdon tube gauges to sophisticated digital pressure transmitters that convert pressure into electrical signals for monitoring and automation.

Control applications involve devices that regulate pressure. This includes pressure regulators, which maintain a constant output pressure regardless of fluctuations in the input pressure, and pressure relief valves, which are safety devices designed to prevent over-pressurization by opening at a set pressure and releasing excess fluid. These are essential for tasks like inflating tires, powering hydraulic machinery, and conducting pressure testing. The principle behind their operation often involves reducing a larger volume into a smaller one, thereby increasing the pressure of the contained fluid.
