Supplyoriented is an adjective describing approaches, policies, or mindsets that prioritize the availability and provision of goods and services. It emphasizes increasing productive capacity, efficiency, and resilience of supply chains.

In economic discourse, supplyoriented (often spelled supply-oriented) refers to policy measures that aim to raise the long-run level of output by improving the conditions for production. This includes tax incentives for investment, deregulation, investment in infrastructure, education and skills, innovation support, and measures to reduce input bottlenecks. Policy arguments contend that expanding supply can lower costs and prices and create sustainable growth. In business and operations management, a supplyoriented approach prioritizes securing reliable inputs, reducing lead times, diversifying suppliers, and building resilient procurement and manufacturing processes.
