Suljetuiksi

Suljetuiksi is a Finnish grammatical form that functions as the translative plural of the passive past participle of the verb sulkea, meaning “to close.” It expresses a change of state into being closed and is used with predicates that denote becoming or turning into a certain condition, often with verbs such as tulla or muuttua.

Morphology: The base participle is suljettu (closed). In the translative plural it becomes suljetuiksi. The singular counterpart is suljetuksi. In sentences, suljetuiksi marks that something is changing into the state of being closed, rather than simply being closed as a current condition.
