Sulfiderich
Sulfiderich is a term used in geology to describe rocks, sediments, soils, or ore deposits that contain a high proportion of sulfide minerals. Sulfide minerals are compounds in which sulfur is bonded to metals, and common examples include pyrite (FeS2), pyrrhotite (Fe1−xS), chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), bornite (Cu5FeS4), sphalerite (ZnS), galena (PbS), and arsenopyrite (FeAsS). In sulfide-rich assemblages these minerals may dominate the mineralogy and strongly influence the material's geochemical behavior.
