Substratlarl is a hypothetical concept often discussed in speculative fiction and theoretical biology. It refers to an organism or system that exists entirely within a substrate, meaning it does not have a distinct external form or body in the conventional sense. Instead, its life processes, such as metabolism, reproduction, and sensing, occur within a non-living or semi-living matrix.

The substrate could be varied, ranging from soil and rock to complex manufactured materials or even abstract informational structures. The substratlarl organism would interact with its environment through the properties of this substrate, potentially influencing its composition or flow.
