Sublimaatiopainatus

Sublimaatiopainatus, also known as sublimation printing, is a digital printing technique that uses heat to transfer dye onto materials. This process is ideal for creating vibrant and durable designs on fabrics, ceramics, and other heat-resistant substrates.

The process begins with a sublimation printer that uses special dye-based inks. These inks are applied to a transfer paper, creating a mirrored image of the desired design. When this transfer paper is placed on the substrate and heated in a heat press, the solid dye in the ink transforms into a gas. This gaseous dye then permeates the fibers of the material or bonds with the surface coating. Upon cooling, the dye returns to a solid state, becoming permanently embedded within the substrate.

Sublimaatiopainatus is particularly well-suited for polyester fabrics, as the sublimation dyes bond effectively with the polyester fibers. It can also be used on specially coated items like mugs, mousepads, and metal prints. One of the key advantages of this method is its ability to produce full-color, photographic-quality images with excellent detail and color saturation. The resulting prints are resistant to fading, cracking, and peeling, making them highly durable. The process is also environmentally friendly as it doesn't typically involve large amounts of water or harmful chemicals, and the inks are water-based. This technique is widely used in the production of custom apparel, promotional products, and personalized gifts.
