Strømforsyningsarkitekturen, or power supply architecture, refers to the design and organization of the components and systems involved in delivering electrical power from the source to the end user. This architecture encompasses various elements, including power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumption.

Power generation involves the production of electrical energy, which can be sourced from renewable resources like wind, solar, hydro, or from conventional sources such as coal, natural gas, and nuclear. The generated power is then transmitted over long distances using high-voltage transmission lines to substations located near major consumption centers.

At the substation, the voltage is stepped down to a level suitable for distribution to individual consumers. This distribution network consists of medium-voltage lines that branch out to smaller substations and, ultimately, to the end users. The distribution network can be further divided into primary and secondary distribution systems, with the primary system delivering power to secondary substations and the secondary system distributing power to individual consumers.

These technologies include advanced metering infrastructure, distributed energy resources, and real-time monitoring systems that enable better management of power demand and supply.
