Key factors influencing storagelife include temperature, humidity, light exposure, oxygen levels, and the presence of microorganisms or reactive chemicals. Perishable foods deteriorate quickly due to microbial growth and enzymatic activity, while dry foods are affected by moisture migration and oxidation. Pharmaceuticals require chemical stability and sterility, and electronics rely on humidity control and protective packaging to prevent corrosion and damage.
