Stereoszers

Stereoszers is a commercial brand that has been associated with the manufacturing and distribution of audio equipment since the mid‑1980s. The company was founded in 1984 in Seattle, Washington by engineers Michael and Linda Stryker. From its earliest days the firm concentrated on high‑fidelity stereo amplification systems, producing integrated amplifiers, pre‑amplifiers and dedicated headphone drives that were marketed to both amateur and professional listeners.

In 1991 Stereoszers introduced the Stereoszer 1000, a hybrid digital‑to‑analog converter that received praise for its low distortion and high signal‑to‑noise ratio. The product line expanded into speaker assemblies in 1995, adding the Stereoszer Soundscape series as a line of bookshelf and floor‑standing speakers. By the early 2000s the company had begun offering line‑in, line‑out and digital audio interface modules for use in home entertainment centres and small recording studios.

Stereoszers is noted for its emphasis on semi‑custom sonic character and integration with both analogue and digital sources. The firm has also provided audio‑restoration services to record labels and archival institutions, applying its expertise to the digitisation and remastering of legacy recordings. In recent years the company has intensified efforts toward sustainability, employing aluminium recyclage and low‑power stage components in new designs.
