Stereoinnspilling, a Norwegian term that translates to "stereo recording" or "stereo capture," refers to the process of capturing audio using two or more microphones to create a stereo image. This technique is widely used in the music industry, film production, and other audio recording applications to achieve a more immersive and realistic sound experience.

In stereoinnspilling, microphones are typically arranged in specific configurations to capture sound from different angles and distances. Common stereo microphone techniques include coincident, near-coincident, and spaced pair configurations.
