Statusnya

Statusnya is an Indonesian construction formed by the noun status combined with the possessive suffix -nya. It roughly means its status or his/her/its status and is used to refer to the state, condition, or position of something that has already been mentioned in discourse. The term can apply to technical states (a device’s status), administrative states (order status), or more abstract states (relationship status or a social media update).

Grammatically, -nya is a clitic that marks possession or definiteness and can replace a full noun phrase when the referent is understood from context. When attached to status, the result signals “the status of it/him/her” and can function as the subject or object in a sentence depending on arrangement and discourse.

In everyday speech and online communication, statusnya may also refer to a person’s status in social media or a relationship, as in “Statusnya di WhatsApp” or “Statusnya terakhir: sibuk.” The precise meaning is determined by the surrounding noun and context.
