Standwaage
Standwaage, literally “standing balance,” is a term used in German-speaking gymnastics, dance, and physical education to describe a static balance position performed on one leg. In this position the performer transfers weight onto a stance leg while the other leg is lifted and extended—typically in line with the body, to the side, or backward—so that the body remains upright and aligned, with the arms often held extended, forward, or to the sides to help maintain balance.
