Standardartikel
Standardartikel refers to a standardized Wikipedia entry template used on certain language versions of Wikipedia, most notably the German Wikipedia. The concept was introduced in the early 2000s as a way to create consistent, concise articles for a large number of small topics, such as streets, transportation stops, or local businesses that might otherwise remain unreferenced or absent from the encyclopedia. A Standardartikel typically contains a minimal amount of content: a brief definition or description, a single source, and a template note indicating that the article is a stub or placeholder.
